Demand for Silktrim Drives New MDF Line
With a focus on driving growth and innovation, we have recently commissioned our second fully integrated MDF line at Elm Park, which is considered state of the art in the building sector and produces our standard and specialist profiles for the housing and DIY markets, including our market leading MDF white, twice primed brand, Silktrim. This significant milestone is already greatly enhancing our production capabilities.
Over the past year, our colleagues at Elm Park and Chorley facilities have produced an impressive 30 million lineal meters of white primed MDF. To put this into perspective, if these MDF boards were laid end to end, they would span the distance to Australia and back. This remarkable achievement showcases our dedication to meeting customer demand and delivering high-quality products. With a commitment to continually enhancing our customer experience, we strengthened our customer facing team with new colleague appointments at Elm Park, Chorley and Plains. We further invested in our talent by creating five new apprenticeships within the business with opportunities for growth and development.
